Women are repeatedly confronted with third-party violence in specific sectors, like health and social care, education and retail, where a representation of women among workers is statistically higher. In Slovenian legislation the concept of violence of third parties appeared in 2011 in the Security Act and occupational health, which separates hazards violence by third parties in the workplace from violence, bullying, harassment and psychosocial risk and also states the duty of the employer to take appropriate action in this regard.
